Default Video Conferencing Programs
On another thread, a member mentioned using Oovoo for video conferencing. I looked at the site and like what I see.

However, I am looking for a free or very low cost video conferencing option for a couple non-profits I'm involved in. Some of our higher level/district meetings involve people from two states. Video conferencing would be a GREAT alternative, but we don't have permanent headquarter offices from which to host a more traditional type of program.

Oovoo appears to only permit 6 participants if you subscribe.

Any suggestions?

Hi Robin

You might want to try webex or megameeting http://www.megameeting.com/

You might look at MS LiveMeeting http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/li...407251033.aspx

Webex already mentions is a great choice and might check out SightSpeed http://www.sightspeed.com/

Another one to look at is ElluminateLive http://www.elluminate.com/

I have used all of these with except SightSpeed it looks similar to ooVoo but can do upto 9. All the others are really good options.

Other options to explore: Glance, gotowebinar, Audio Acrobat (pricey), Camtasia

Other options might be teleconferences, like using freeconferencealling.com or Instant Teleseminar and then adding a Ning site or Twitetr hastag, or alternative chat type of program.

Great suggestions, I use gotomeeting for two of my client teams but will certainly check out these free alternatives.
