Default Venues For Teleclasses
Hi there group!

Hope you're all doing wonderfully today!

I am wondering if anyone can give me any input as to what the best venue is for holding teleclasses? I need something that records the call, something where you can save the call as an MP3 or something to that effect for future access - pretty much all the bells and whistles.

Anyone have any experience they can share? Thanks!

Jan

Hi Jan

I don't have any experience with teleclasses but I found some links that might be helpful.

There are several free conference companies that offer teleconference lines for up to 100 people at no charge. You can pay a little bit (maybe $15) to record the call or get your own recording software and record it yourself.

I found this article that provides information on a company called free conference call.com

I hope this helps.

Hi Jan,
Depending how many people you plan to include Skype may also be an option - Skype has the Pamela Call Recorder now and there's no limit (as far as I know) to how many people can participate (it's not free for longer calls but pretty close to it).

You might want to check out telebridge.com as a possible resource.

Here's another one: freeconference.com. A client of mine just signed up to do her first teleclass and this site was recommended to her by another teleclass specialist in the area. She says it's only $9 per month and they'll record it and make an mp3 available.

I've worked with thebasementventures.com for a little over 2 years and love it. it's a free teleconferencing service, and they offer free recordings of the calls.

There's also a new service at http://xiosoft.com/instantteleseminar/default.asp?x=0 . I've heard a lot of good things about it, but haven't used it myself.

Hey everyone,

I did some research on this for a client not too long ago and the sites listed above are far and away the best. But the call quality for the recordings can be up and down. Most business people said they use a secondary recorder as well as the conference lines recording to make sure they get the best quality. Some use a microrecorder on their phone, others use AudioAcrobat or other software. I even heard of one person using Dragon Naturally speaking, which is really cool because the program will transcribe the call as it happens.
Whatever you choose to use, do make sure everyone on the line knows its being recorded. Law suits are not fun!
