Toll-Free Numbers - do you have one?
The recent post requesting advice on toll-free number services prompted a couple of questions for me. Looking forward to seeing the responses!

Re: Toll-Free Numbers
I agree, an intriguing poll Kim
I'm curious to know - for those who DO have an 800 number - how much do you pay for it (monthly?) and what services does that include?
Also, how many calls per month would you say come in from potential clients?

I don't have one. People far away who need to contact me can do so via email and I can call them back using our home line which has free long distance.

Re: Toll-Free Numbers - do you have one?
I use Skype for all my long distance and I have a Skype in number but not many people use it. Most of my clients contact me via email and then I call them from my Skype number.
I looked in to getting a toll free number but I don't think it would be worth it for me right now.

I use Ring Central ( www.ringcentral.com). They give you a free toll-free number and a block of minutes which you pay for. I think I paid somewhere around $179 for the whole year plus minutes. Or there is Freedom Voice, Aptela, OneBox, and many more. Check them all out to see what works best for you and your budget. I was able to get V-Y925 for my business! It's great!

Do you mean you chose a phone number that included those digits? Neat idea!

I don't believe I'll be needing a 800 number. Being deaf, I don't see how I'd benefit from it. But I am curious how much it'd cost.

Re: Toll-Free Numbers - do you have one?
I also have an 800# from Ringcentral. When I signed I was able to choose my phone number type, local or 800. With the 800 number I could have chosen just a generic 800# for free or for a certain amount of money I could have chosen a vanity 800#...similar to creating a vanity license plate (probably what VY925 did). I chose the generic 800# since it was free. I am not sure if they always have that option..but it is pretty inexpensive.
Since I am currently only using my 800# as my business number, I guess I would say it is cost effective so far!

Re: Toll-Free Numbers - do you have one?
I have a toll free vanity number and I think I paid $20 US for it. I utilize Accessline Communications as my provider. I pay about $10 US/mo for 200 minutes and then 4.9 cents there after.
