I always use my first name. But if you were to develop a slogan such as helping others out of ........ you could use apickel@
I would steer away from standards such as admin@, sales@, info@ because spammers always use these to get to people. You would be inundated with spam the minute you set those addresses up to use.
Another vote here for taking advantage of your humorous & unusual name combo. I love it & it brought a smile to my face. Just last night I was telling my husband that when I see two commercials for basically the same product or service, I'll always choose the one that I think is funny or clever over something mundane.
I think using apickel as part of your tag line is a great idea. But if you don't want to do that why not use your first and last name. A lot of large companies use first name dot last name, or just first name last name @ whatever. Good luck deciding.
Your post was very funny. I can see how your name brings humor to your day. I agree with others to just use your first name and your domain name. It looks like you have solved your problem. Hope it works out for you.
What a dilemia to have! I think you have a built in marketing program with your name - most of us have to really think hard to come up with tag lines and such, but you have it right in your name. Good for you.
As for your email - I would use your whole name - amber.pickel@ your customers unlike most of us will remember both your first and last name.
But whatever you decide you will bring a smile to anyone's day - how special.
When I started reading this thread, I was leaning towards using your first name at domain, like I do and then as I read on the APICKEL began to make me giggle a bit and I'll always remember it and I think your clients will too. .. so I vote for APICKEL at domain.
Hi Amber! How funny! I have a long last name and a confusing first name so I decided to go with my first name only, followed by the @ symbol and then my domain name.
I think if you went with Amber @ ... that would sound more professional and more memorable...Best wishes with your final decision.
You can also, if you really want your last name in there, use amber.pickel@domain.... That way you have both in the email address without the humor part of it
