If you want to use your printer for faxing, you will need to connect it to your landline too. I use a fax to email/email to fax service with a Voip network. They are very cheap and it saves on paper! There is a limit of 2 documents per day, 3 pages each for the free service, after that it's $2 per fax. I know other VAs have used and recommended this service. If you just want to send via your PC just using a software and your PC modem then you also need a phone line to do that. The only way you can send a fax without a phone line is by using Just Google it and you can choose from dozens and dozens of service available online. You may also want to check Onesuite internet fax service it charges 2.5 cents per page sent.
