Ring Central is an awesome system. I have had it personally for about 3 years. You can customize it however you wish. The key is to sign up when they have specials. I use the fax service 500 faxes in and out for 7.95 a month and a 800 line for 4.99 extra that allows unlimited extensions (customize-able). Oh and yes it is virtual, and yes you can program a customers number in the system so calls can be transferred to you. Its great and the UI is awesome!

Re: Which phone system for answering clients phones?
Hip Hip Hurray, I am also ringcentral user, I think I started in 2006 or 2007. Whatever year it was, I know I started using the system before it became popular. I have made different recording for special occasions and my clients phone numbers. If I purchase a new number for a clients to use, I pass the service payment onto the client each. When the client customers call the number they will get a live person answering their phones. Awesome system, give me a call, I will show how to make the system work more efficiently for you and your company.

I read through your posts because I have a Canadian client that I need to be able to accept business calls on her behalf without it costing a lot with long distance/international calling.

I researched RingCentral, Grasshoper, Phone.com, and eVoice.

After actually calling each one of them for specifics relating to Canada, eVoice is my choice. They have a 6 month FREE trial right now, and there is an iPhone app, where I can place outbound calls to Canada without it charging me...it just uses the plan minutes.

Cross your fingers that this works out!

Has anyone ever use Grasshopper? If so, feedback?
