Default Outlook 2007 Question
Can you set a rule so that if you give a message in your Inbox a category it automatically moves to the appropriate folder in the folder list we have created? In 2003 my client would assign a category to each message and then he would have to run the rules which moved messages to each folder but in 2007 that doesn't work any more - when he runs the rules all the messages go back to having no categories - yikes!

Yes, you can run the same rules he had last time. Click on Tools, then rules and alerts. You can enter the same rules he had last time, the rules have not changed. Also, did he create the categories he had last time, in the 07 Outlook program?

I'm not quite sure, but I've learned that the VERY LAST rule in the Run Rules checklist is "clear categories on mail" so he needs to make sure that checkbox is NOT checked when he runs his rules.

Thanks for your help!
