It's customer rating is 4.8-5 and it has affordable plans. With the $6.95 plan, you can get 500 free fax pages/month. Who sends and receives 500 fax pages a month? You can even send your faxes via e-mail.

This is a great resource for those of us who want to save on fax machines and ink--and yes I know that you can do an all-in-one printer, but I think that this comes out being cheaper.

So far I have had one person ask me if they could send me a fax and I told them no, to please scan and email the document to me. I have sent a few faxes from home using faxzero.com for $0. I see no reason to even pay an annual fee for a fax service if you're barely going to use it.

I use RingCentral for my business (and for many of my clients). I have a full plan, which includes the fax service.

I use Trustfax and have for years. I do get several faxes a month from some clients who find it easier to send a fax vs. scan and email. I like that I can send a fax from my email program, send one from the online app and receive docs in PDF format so it is easy to save and archive them.

Looks like a good service! I use my all in one machine when I need to send or receive a fax from my own number. Most clients have MFPs to email me documents now.

I have actually been curious about faxing lately. Gal I worked for previously hated scanning things (took too much time!) so would fax everything and would want me to fax as well. But several of the doctors that I dealt with while working for her also wanted things faxed as opposed to email. So guess my question is really how much faxing is still going on these days? Am sort of trying to cut things from my budget and if I can honestly do away with physically faxing I can do away with my phone line.

You can send faxes from your fax machine, from your printer-scanner-copier-fax, or even from your computer, if you have a phone line.

The thing is, the "receiving" part of it is what needs to be up-and-running and available 24/7, because those who are sending you a fax expect to be able to whenever they want to.
