Newbie Question Re: Phone Services
So I have read about all the differnt phone services out there that VA's can use for phones but my quesiton is this, and I apologize if this has been asked before and if it is a silly question. I am looking to start my business soon and haven't done this kind of work yet so I am only visualizing scenarios right now trying to be as prepared as possible. One service I would like to offer is an phone answering services and am trying to better understand how these services work.
If you have multiple calls that come in at one time for multiple clients....do these calling services offer hold and transfer functions? I'm just thinking about how I handle calls in the office now and trying to better understand how that would be handled in a virtual office for different clients.
Also, if you don't answer a call does it get routed to your voicemail or does it get routed back to the clients? Also I noticed some of these services offer different extensions. Do you set up a specific extension for each client or do they all go to the same number.
