Hello,

It has been a while, I have been setting up shop with sister (she is in FL, I am in WA) so that we could both offer our services via the same website.

SO..my question. I have done two small jobs simply via word of mouth, but I want to offer answering service/appointment setter for one of my clients as he is a small construction company just starting out, but spends all his time on the phone...

Couple of questions.
1. Is there a phone service out there that would let me buy a number really cheap to be able to offer him the service? Give me options or what you use...

2. If I start offering this service to multiple clients, what would be a good way to tell who is calling for whom (how to answer?)...i.e so the caller would be unaware that I am not the client but that I work for them...

3. I really wanted to offer a "base rate" that covers a set number of calls/hours per month. But nothing that a small business owner couldn't afford?

I am open to suggestions.

I use Kall8 They charge you $2 for the number then it's by the minute. I actually my 1-800 number fowarded to my cell phone. When I get a call my 1-800 number shows up so I know that it my business line.

Ditto on Kall8. I use them for two separate business numbers and I have them ring to my cell phone. My caller ID shows which 800 number is ringing so I can answer the call appropriately. Their service is reliable and inexpensive.

If you look at some of the other threads about Ring Central, onebox and such, there are several people who have posted how they have their answering systems set up for their different clients. Unfortunately, I don't have the links handy right now but can try to post them later.
