I'm *dying* for the Palm Pre to come out. I was a Palm user before switching to BlackBerry...

BlackBerry handles many things well, as does Palm. The biggest thing I am missing from the BB though is browsing on the go. Browsing from the BB is just, well, pointless (aside from painfully slow on my non-3g network).

On Twitter I asked Palm (http://twitter.com/palm_inc) when the Pre will be released in the US and all they know is "first half of 2009." The videos of the Pre are such a tease. I can't wait!!

Oh good, Sharon! You can be all drooling with me then!

I found another video that shows a lot of it... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R33Lc8cOXRs

I just hope I'm not disappointed when I actually see it... and I hope my Treo lives for another few months. It won't even sync anymore, but thankfully Yahoo texts me reminders on my calender. Poor phone, it's been through the paces!

I will probably get a Nokia cell phone next. I think its a Nokia N95? (whatever is the one around $400 with a full keyboard/data plan). Why? They are awesome phones (I am on my 3rd one), I love the interface as its professional and very robust. (vs a Verizon interface with the flashing red background that, IMO, is unprofessional)

The iPhone is a thumbs down because AT&T is a thumbs down for me personally.

And the Blackberry. omg. I am counting down the days til March 20th when I no longer have to see it (or hear it) ever again. I get laid off next Friday (yea!!) and it will be taken off my hands. Why don't I like it? It just annoys the day lights out of me. Its not intuitive, I do not know what more to say than that. I know other people who love their Blackberry -- so, its all a personal preference. Just handle one at the store as long as you need until you know you like it.

If I had to choose? I would get an iPod Touch. Why? I can do Skype on it, and its got tons upon tons of features. My husband has one and its very nice. And note that its a Touch so we do NOT have AT&T with it.

I looked at Skype kits today. There is one for $30 that plugs into Windows XP or Windows 2000 and then you can plug a regular pld phone into that. I think I will get that.....in addition to the Nokia. $30 and I get to use all my old stuff like my favorite 2.4 GHz Panasonic phone.

Phones are a very personal choice. Get what feels good in YOUR hands.

I have been using a blackberry for three years now, for the last year I have had the Pearl and like the small size. I can keep in touch via e-mail and along with my contact list that is really what I need when away from home. Have tried the curve but didn't like the size. I will be using it until the contract runs out, another two years.

When the price comes down I may consider the i-phone.

I hate to admit it, but I just love my iphone and couldn't imagine switching to another phone.
I love the interface, easy to navigate through ( no windows mobile menus), and the third party applications are amazing.
My life is on my iphone,my mail, calendar, photos, music, podcasts, googlemaps,to do apps, dictionaries, translators, radio stations, social media apps, all my passwords are safely stored on it, tracking my hours, grocerylists, well, i think you get the idea.

I actually used to be very much 'anti' apple products because EVERYONE had them, but then it came to the point where i really needed a mobile phone which would be like an extension of my laptop and after months and months of deliberation, my friend convinced me to get one, and I'm glad I did.

I've heard someone paying $150 dollars a month for a plan which seems like quite alot of money. I have a plan through T-mobile here in NL for 2 years, phone is free, includes unlimited internet, 300 minutes and 300 sms, which if not used, roll over to the next month for 45 euros.

One day I'd like to try out the blackberry, but I laugh everytime I think of owning one, it always reminds of the colleagues that I used to work with that would be addicted to them ( constantly checking their mail every two seconds, even at social gatherings) to the point where even they admitted that their relationship to their phone was not healthy, and the sound of the scroller at the side still makes me cringe as that is the sound I used to hear from 9-5.

But who knows, if Blackberry would send me one for free to test out and write a review, I'll be more than happy to try it out. Hint Hint

Perfect time for me to find this thread. My husband and I are up to either renew our contract with Verizon (and get Storms) or go with AT&T (and get iPhones). We've 99% settled on iPhones.

DH & I just took advantage of Verizon's B1G1F on the Blackberry Storm - today! I've been using my LG enV, which has been great, but the deal we're getting on the phones & merged plans is just too good to pass up so, yay. lol DH has had the BB World Edition for a while now & likes it, so we'll see about the Storm... I'm pretty flexible so I'm sure I'll be in love as soon as I sign for it. LOL

I absolutely love my iPhone!!! I spent a month getting used to typing on the iPhone. But once I got used to the touch screen I couldn't put the thing down. I use it for everything from scheduling and todo lists and researching. I make voice notes and take pictures. I can also keep up with my social networking all from my phone. And when I am bored or need a change of pace I listen to my music! What a great tool!

Hi,

My boyfriend has the Storm and has had problems with it. Actually most of the sales people on his team are not happy with it. The main point seems to be that the touch capability is hit and miss, the entire screen moves (not like an ATM press screen) and the required pressure is not consistent. Also, the screen angle (portrait or landscape) is very touchy. He thought it was just him at first but most of his team has the same problem. I thought I would love the Storm but the few times I have worked with it I took a visit to frustration land.
