I know there has been much discussion here about internet fax. I just wanted to throw one more service out there. I use Faxage. I chose them over efax mainly because I am still small and do not receive that many faxes. Faxage charges by the minute, rather than by the page, which I have found to be cheaper. I chose the cheapest package there is which doesn't include any minutes. I pay like $2.00 to $3.00 per month, plus $.05 per minute which usually means about $4.00 per month for me. There are packages that are $5.00 or $6.00 or more per month that include hundreds of minutes. I love Faxage.

Their supported file type list is shorter than efax. But honestly, the ones that aren't on the Faxage list I wouldn't use anyway, and some of them I've never even heard of. Faxage supports the biggies like pdf, Word, Excel, etc. They also have a new integration feature with MS Office which I haven't fully checked out yet.

It's worth a look IMO.

Thank you for posting this info - I thought I'd heard of all the internet fax options, but this one is new to me. Always looking for a great service and actually have to settle on an internet fax service again, so will definitely check this one out.

Currently on the lookout for Internet Fax. I really don't think I would fax much but I just need it just in case. I tried to sign up to 3 companies who provide free trials: eFax, TrustFax & MyFax. I was able to sign up for the first two, eFax worked properly, TrustFax is weird.. I often get the page timing out and MyFax doesn't want to accept my CC. I'll definitely check this out if this costs less. Thanks!

Thank you. I too have been looking into online fax services. I tried one yesterday and it was pretty simple. Enter in fax info, upload the document, choose a cover sheet, and send.

I use utbox, you pay an annual fee (I think it's around AU$30) and that covers a certain number of received pages - I don't get a huge volume of faxes so it suits me, the only downside is you can't roll over your unused credit which is a paid as I still have over $20 worth.... otherwise can't fault it, the faxes come to your inbox as PDF files and you can use the account to send quite easily as well.

I have used fax.com for a couple of years now and I am quite happy with them. I pay a flat rate ($10) every month, after the free offer, and I can send and receive all I want. I have never had an issue with formats not being accepted, just sizes of files! An easy solution is to change files it a .TIFF and you're good to go! Hope this helps.

Has anyone heard of Soho66 or used them for faxing? I'm in the UK and have signed up with them £2.00 per month to receive incoming faxes which is very cheap. I liked the idea that I could have a local number. I can send if I ever need to, if I buy credit but at the moment couldn't see why I would need this facility if I'm emailing work back. I've not tried it out yet as no-one has sent me a fax yet!
