Also if they have caller ID, the name will always be your name instead of the business name. I think that was the only real disadvantage. Oh! I'd get a second residential because the business lines cost more. Of course in our rural area we don't even have a house phone because the cost is so crazy. I just use my cell phone for everything. It would cost us as much to have one house line as it cost my husband and I both to have cell phones! My two cents! __________________ Sundi D. If you offer your clients any type of phone service you wouldn't want your company name to show up anyway...your client would probably prefer your name over the name of your company if you are representing THEIR company. That's true and a good point to consider, I would like my business name on the caller ID. How about tax purposes, do I need a separate account kinda thing?

I believe you need a seperate line from your houseline, that is business only. But it doesn't mean it has to be an official business line from the phone company.
