Default Email Signature in client email
I have a question I have been pondering for some time. I work as an authors assistant and have an email address specific for his business.

I am sure lots of people also have this arrangement and I am just wondering if you put a signature on the emails for your own business?

I am emailing people daily and think it would be great promotion, just not sure if it is appropriate or if it would confuse people ie why does my signature say LAiNE Consulting and email say @business123.

Thoughts?

I agree with you, it would make great promotion

I personally don't. If I am answering emails on behalf of my client, then I just use his/her name or answered by me (my name) with no references to my business.

It can confusing and unless your client takes the initiative and suggests that you do include your own digital signature, I just don't think that it is the appropriate thing to do but that's just my own opinion...

I never use my personal email signature for my clients. I think it's too confusing. I do tell people on the 'phone when it comes up.

I would definitely use client's signature and not my personal, it wouldn't be fair to the client as well (kinda free marketing for you)

I agree, I would never market my own company via an email signature on a client's account. When I'm corresponding on behalf of a client using an email on their server I'm a representative of their company, not my own.
