Default Client needs phone support
A client is launching a new product online. He wants to obtain an 800 number for customers to call for information. The answering time would be 8-5 in my time zone only. The number will only be operational for 7-10 days only. He only wants the customers basic questions answered, then get their contact information for him to call back.

He isn't sure he can get an 800 number for this short period. Would anyone have a better suggestion for doing this?

You might want to investigate a VOIP 1-800 solution. I use nextiva, and I have the ability to control what times the phone rings, what times an auto attendant answers, and different options for menus for clients to use. I am sure that other VOIP vendors have similar solutions. Another thought would be to use the VOIP solution for one month (my vendor is monthly), and then after the 7-10 day period, switch over to the auto attendant. Fairly inexpensive, as well.
