Default Cell vs Land line
I haven't seen this quesiton yet, but then again maybe I just missed it.

Cell phone vs. land line? What are your thoughts? My initial thought is cell phone, then I only have one phone number, and one voice mail and yet I can be reached anywhere any time.

Any thoughts would be welcomed. What do you do?

I use my cell. I do have a land line at home, but do not answer incoming calls on it, they all go to voicemail that I check at the end of the day. I only give the home number out to clients as a backup, they all know to call me on my cell. I do use it to call out for conference calls occassionally.

how strange I was just about to ask the same question because this was something that was picked up today at my meeting.

He said that I should consider a landline because people feel they can trust a company more if they have a landline. Not sure how I feel about that one.

For now my trusted friend mr mobile will have to do

I advertise a cell number and once I sign the client then I give them a direct landline.

Yeah I was going to do the same as you Carlana, I get what he was telling me today about using a landline, but at the moment I can't afford the extra money to have a second line in, and I don't want to use my home phone, if my husband of the kiddies pick up the phone, I don't think the "prospective" client or current clients would be best pleased LOL

How would they even know it's a cell phone unless you told them?

I had just written this question down as something to search out the next time I was online! Thank you so much for addressing it. I believe I will be going with a cell phone also. We are a military family so my landline number changes so frequently I think the same cell number would be better.

Rebecka, UK cell phones have a different code so it's quite easy to spot.
