Question Best option for *recordable* teleseminar system?
What would you recommend for use for teleseminars?

Definitely has to be something that will record the calls and provide an MP3 - and it doesn't have to be free, but free always rocks if it's an option .

Would be great if it allows plenty of callers [I mean like 60+] to be on the line without sacrificing quality.

Any suggestions?

I use www.freeconferencecalling.com and it has up to 500 callers before paying. At this time I'm trying to figure out how to record calling in with Skype, I believe it's a matter of purchasing credit from Skype. Otherwise I just use my cell phone.

Hi Tess,

Free Conference Calling is a great tool. I have never had a problem with either the recording or the call quality. It doesn't come with all the bells and whistles however has the basic features to mute/unmute calls, the recording and replay options.

Instanbt Teleseminar is another great tool. It has 250 teleconference lines and 2000 webcast lines (this eliminates the long distance charges).
It also allows you to design your pre-event page, the event page and the replay page.
It also has a question submission box where the attendees can send in their questions.

InstantTeleseminar has a 21 day trial @ $1. The monthly fee is $ 67.

Hope this helps !

I can't offer any advice on the teleconferencing, but I do know that there are portable recorders that can be hooked directly into your line and record your calls. It saves the recordings in a .wav file, but the quality can't be beat. The Mike Ferry coach I used to work for recorded all his coaching calls with one of these, uploaded the calls onto the computer, and then burned them to CD to send to those he was coaching. Just a thought. If I were going to all the trouble to set up a teleseminar I think I'd want something in hand as a back up. If that call gets lost you'll never hear it again.

Hey Tess,

I've used FreeConferenceCall.com for each of my teleconferences. I think you can get up to 100 callers on the line, and you just press a button to record the line. When the call is over, you can download the recording from FreeConferenceCall.com. But if you plan to do several calls close together, be sure to download the recordings in between because each new recording wipes out the last. Can't wait to see what you have in store!

I love DimDim for webinars and instances when desktop sharing is needed, it works out nicely.

I personally use FreeConferenceCall.com (http://www.freeconferencecall.com) for phone recording, teleseminars and interviews. When I don't do my podcast interviews via Skype, they are done using FreeConferenceCall.com. The VA Round Table episodes were recorded using FreeConferenceCall.com.

It supports up to 96 callers on one call and there is a 6 hour time limit per call. The one and only downside I have found (as Tammi mentioned already), is that you can only store one audio online at a time. So if you don't download your audio before doing another teleseminar recording, the old one is gone. By the way, the audio is provided in .wav format.

In doing some research in the past, below are some other conference call providers you may want to check out. I have used Free Conference Pro and while the admin panel was great and allowed for multiple recordings to be stored online; for me the quality of the call wasn't on par with FreeConferenceCall.com. However, that may have been the connection I had at the time too.

These are all great options - thank you so much for the info!
It sounds like I need to look at DimDim and FreeConferenceCall.com

I think I'll try both and see which I prefer.
Thanks again!
