Anyone heard of the ACN Videophone? My hubby's roommate from college has one and it seemed a good fit for the VA world. It's similar to skype, but it's an actual phone that is VoIP but on a secure line (I don't think skype is on a secure line) and it can actually replace your home phone. I tossed the idea out to a few of my clients and they seemed interested in it to help keep connected since VAs are usually not face-to-face with clients most days. Any feedback?

I have an extreme hate for ACN, so I am very biased, but I will give my opinion that I had formed about the phone service before my terrible experience with the company itself.

In order for the videophone to work, you need to order the service from ACN, and the video options only work from ACN customer to ACN customer. They compared it to VOIP, like Skype, which they have as an additional service and fee. I don't understand why I would need to pay more for my landline service for video that will only work for the limited number of clients on the same network, when VOIP plus webcam will work for everyone, and often for free (discounting the cost of the webcam and headset).
