Video Tutorial: How to bill for retainers
One of my clients has requested me to provide video tutorials to his staff showing them how to do certain procedures in QuickBooks. I needed to do a test run, so I decided to use you all as my guinea pigs. LOL
Here is my first ever video tutorial answering one of the most common asked bookkeeping questions by VAs, "How do I bill my customers for retainers?".
Please view it and give me your comments. I know I need some more practice on the speaking end of it, but I'd like to know what your thoughts are.
Thanks!

It's a .wmv file you will need Windows Media Player to view. If you have any problems accessing the link pm me your email address and I will email it to you.

Rebecca,
I received a message: This is a private file, only the owner can download it or view it.

Re: Video Tutorial: How to bill for retainers
Rebecka, just viewed the tutorial, I do not use QBs but explanation was very clear. You sounded a little nervous but that will go with practise.
The screen images were not very clear, but that could have just been my Broadband speed, (we have very slow broadband here in Ireland compared to other countries). Will wait and see what others say.
Congratulations on the wonderful tutorial.

Thank YOU - that worked very well. I like this. Could you tell me what program you used to do this?

Re: Video Tutorial: How to bill for retainers
Is that something that comes with windows, or a separate program? I'm working on a training manual for a client, and this would be extremely helpful.

My favorite 4 letter F word (FREE). I'm getting a new computer in a couple of weeks, I'll have the IT folks download it and set it up for me.
Thanks Rebecca. The tutorial was been really helpful.

Re: Video Tutorial: How to bill for retainers
Until now I've never seen Quickbook's format - I use Sage software. Quickbook looks very user friendly and self explanatory. I'm going to start checking it out.
Thanks a million

Re: Video Tutorial: How to bill for retainers
Rebecka,
That is a very good tutorial. I can absolutely tell you know 100% what you are teaching and talking about. The screen was clear, you used your mouse pointer to bring the attention to certain areas of the screen you wanted to focus on. Overall, very nice job.
I recently created some training videos for a client (so that he can train his employees on certain program) and I used Jing Project. I think I may try out the program you used you the next time I do a training video. While Jing Project is a great product (and FREE), you can only record for up to 5 minutes.
Nice job
