Default PayPal integration with QuickBooks
I was playing around with PayPal today and discovered that it integrates with QuickBooks! I'm sure some of you have figured this out already, but for those of you who haven't I'll share with you how it works.

Sign into Paypal and go to the "Merchant Services" tab, under "Manage Payments" section click on the link that says "Request Money with QuickBooks". It will give you the instructions on how to download the application.

Once you've downloaded it, it will put a PayPal icon on your QuickBooks toolbar. To use it, create the invoice you want to send using the normal method, then click on the PayPal button on the toolbar and enter in the invoice number you want to send. It will then email the invoice from QuickBooks with a PayNow button attached to it. How easy is that (and why did it take me so long to figure that out)?!

The only downside to it is that it doesn't appear to work with Statements or multiple invoices, you have to send each invoice separately. If someone knows a trick for this, please share it.

Nice Rebecka! Thanks for the heads up and the mini tutorial

I thought I'd post back with the direct link to this feature on Paypal's site, for those who are interested. Click here.

While I was in there I poked around for possible info about multiple invoices, etc. but couldn't find anything helpful. Perhaps there's a workaround someone knows of?

I have been using this for about 3 months now and it's great. You need to register your bank account which takes a few days, there is also a small fee for each invoice and once payment is in your Paypal account you need to transfer to your bank account. No set-up fees and super easy to use.

I don't think it will work with multiple invoices, when you initiate sending the invoice from QB, you are prompted to enter the invoice number - it does not have an option for multiple invoices. Once the invoice is sent you have the option to enter another invoice.

Also the invoice is sent to you in an email and you have the opportunity to edit the invoice, add attachments, send to multiple people and add text to the email.

Happy to answer any questions. Please sign-up so they do not discontinue this service!!!!!!!

Has anyone used this feature? I have a client who I want to move from Freshbooks to QB invoices but she likes the paypal easy payment option that Freshbooks offers her clients. Someone above mentioned a fee, is that a normal PayPal fee or an added extra fee for sending the invoice through QB? I'd love to be able to send the invoice through QB and not have to duplicate it in PayPal to ease her client's payment option.

Thanks!
