Hi, as you all know I am trying to improve ways on saving the environment and what not. I am currently looking at online invoicing software, and have only seem to find this one - http://www.businessitonline.com/invoicing-software.aspx however I am not sure whether to have it or not. What do you all think, should I do it for a trial run? cheers.

You could always try Paypal.com. I've had an account for many years (used to sell on ebay alot) and I think the invoicing tool works quite well and it's free.

Yes, Paypal has an invoicing tool - it's pretty bare bones but is totally free.
I don't use that - just copy and paste the top part of my invoice in to the 'notes' section of a regular Paypal money request and then send a PDF of my invoice to the client via email along with the Paypal request.
What kinds of features do you want the invoicing tool to have?
A quick search on Google brings up a few templates for XL, etc. as well as some possible free downloads. I hope that helps!
I want to actually send each invoice via e-mail as a pdf file. I have looked at excel but i can't do each invoice separartely, and it takes time. I will try out that free one I found, and will tell you what I think of it I am also thinking about paypal but I don't have my bank account set up yet...
Julia, if you can't download anything besides music how are you going to handle receiving client deliverables? (these could be any kind of file format and are often too large to send through email so must be downloaded or retrieved via FTP)
I understand that you are trying to keep your start up cost low - the first thing you need to invest in is a computer for yourself.. I do not recommed you starting a business on your family computer.. Files can be moved, deleted and sent somewhere where you did not send them.. Remember your clients infomation is confidential.. I would not start a business with a family computer - just my opinion
Well, my parents really want me to use the new computer that we're getting & my dad will be getting his own user area. I will be able to downloads files etc on the new computer as long as they are sent via e-mail... not from a website (apart from i-tunes but I use a separate computer for that!)
I'm not sure why your parents are dictating how you're running your business?
I agree with the others, it's important to have your own computer that you can use whenever and however you need. Also there are going to be lots of things you're going to need to download. Software, client files, etc. Just email isn't always going to cut it.
You can get a full system for about $300 so I'd suggest doing that ASAP.
I have no money to buy a PC plus I live in Britain so everything is very expensive at the moment. Unfortunately my parents have a say in my business... sorry!!
My laptop that I own IS my personal computer (I am thinking of buying a iBook but am looking to see where I can get it for a bit cheaper!!) and I can download files (i.e. word documents, etc) NOT programs, i.e. photoshop...
You are leaving yourself open to confidentiality issues if anyone else has access to the computer with your client files. If you can't afford a computer, how are you going to afford everything else that goes with having a
Perhaps if computers are really expensive in the UK, you could buy a used computer at a computer store that takes trade ins.
