Default Looking for an Automatic Payment Processing Solution

I have one client who has been with me for over 2 years. She's gotten busy lately and has been paying me late....not real late, but a few days but no more than a week. I don't believe it to be intentional but it seems to becoming a problem. We've been using PayPal. As my hours have increased with her, the PP fees have as well so I'm looking for alternate solutions but I'm willing to continue with the fees if getting paid could be made easier.

She's asked me for automatic payments. She wants me to bill her and then process the payment myself. She doesn't have a PP account but I send her invoices through PP. Does anyone know if there is an automatic payment system that can be set up through PP whereby I send the invoice and it is automatically paid?

She's doesn't want to work with checks. My bank offers direct deposit but there is a monthly fee which is more than the fees to accept payment through PP as well as a minimum transfer fee.

I have Quickbooks Pro 2009 which offers payments through their program but the cost isn't justified.

Does anyone have any suggestions for automatic payment processing?

Thanks,

Janine

If your client has Online BillPay through her bank, you can try that. I know the online billpay system at my bank allows for recurring bill payments.

If your using Pay Pal, go the the Merchant Area and click on create a "Subscription" button. Then they will ask you do you want to send this in an email. Once she clicks on it she will fill in her information and it will automatically debit her Credit Card or Bank (however she pays you) every month, week, how ever you set the subscription up.

Good Luck~
Andrea

Here are two people in my network that offer Automatic Payment Processing:

Tim Manley - Cash Flow Plus, Inc. - In his own words "a local electronic payments processing company. We set up businesses to receive their accounts receivables in the most effective, efficient, and expeditious manner in the electronic payments industry. Whether in person, by phone, by fax, or over the internet, we can assist you! We pride ourselves on our excellent customer service, and as a local company, we are always there when you need us!"

Michelle McBride - McBride Merchant Services - In her own words "My company provides credit card processing and other merchant services for businesses. We offer a variety of solutions including Web-based applications for supporting Retail, Wholesale, E-Commerce businesses with Online Stores and Charitiable Organizations with Online Donations and Gift/Loyalty Cards to "brand" your business."

I have not personally used their services, but I know people that have and they have been very pleased. I network with Tim and Michelle on a fairly regular basis and highly recommend them.

Hi Kim,
Thank you for your reply.

This is one client with only 4 payments per month billed between 15 and 20 hours per month so the fees for a cc machine wouldn't justify the usage. The PayPal fees alone have added up!

Thank you, though. I will keep your suggestions in mind should the opportunity present itself. I've bookmarked the sites.

Hi Deb,

Thank you. I believe this suggestion would work if the amount she paid me was the same each month. I would then need to send a final invoice for the difference.

I appreciate your input.

Janine

Hi Andrea,

I'll check into this and see if a PP merchant subscriber account would work.

Thanks for the reply.

Janine
