Default Intuit Payment Network
Has anyone used Intuit PaymentNetwork? I'm thinking it could be a cheaper alternative to Paypal. They claim to only charge $.50 per transaction, which is pennies compared to the percentages charged by Paypal these days.

Does anyone have any experience with it?

Hi Julie,
I didn't even realize Intuit had such a thing until I saw your post and went to look it up https://paymentnetwork.intuit.com/

It looks like a viable option, and certainly is less expensive than PayPal, especially for those big invoices.

Definitely curious to hear from anyone else who has tried this as well. I'm pretty happy with PayPal and feel it's easy to use because so many clients already are familiar with it/have accounts but I do like the flat fee.

I have one client who offered to be invoiced through Intuit as the bill was quite large and she didn't want me to lose a chunk to Paypal fees.
(Yes, my clients are awesome, why do you ask? lol)

I LOVE it and am considering doing all my invoicing through Intuit.

It is only .50 to receive payment and the money is direct deposited into your checking account (no transfers needed).
The deposit takes the same amount of time to clear (usually quicker) as if I deposited it myself. Bonus, no driving to the bank.

Is it $.50 for each transaction plus the credit card fees? or is it just the $.50 cents?

Is there no monthly fee at all? almost seems to good to be true.

Can you process the payment for the client ie with a credit card or check or do they have to do it?
Do they offer recurring billing?

Sorry for all the questions, I have just had some bad luck with merchant accounts lately with hidden fees, etc.

Thanks, Kim

Hi Kim,

Right off the bat I need to say, this is NOT Paypal or a Merchant Account in any way, shape or form.

-It is .50 per payment RECEIVED. No cost to send money.

-No Monthly fee

-It only uses bank accounts, no credit cards allowed. (I have a feeling once they get more popular, this will change)

-No recurring billing

-They do offer ecommerce buttons so you can use them instead of Paypal to sell items but purchaser will have to sign up and enter a bank account.

It's not perfect but I offer it as an option for my clients. Most have been more than happy to save me the Paypal fees and had no problem signing up.

A few, mostly the ones that are one-off projects or have small monthly bills, prefer to stay with Paypal, which is fine.

I have to say though, not dealing with Paypal's Huge Fees on a large payment is really nice.

Makes sense. Thank you for the further explanation.

Sounds like it would be a viable option to send money to people that I have working for me though.

Thanks, Kim

I haven't needed the Quickbooks option so I don't know how well it works. It says you can export to Quickbooks (nothing about the online version of QB)
There is a note on the site explaining some users are having issues with it right now and they are working on it.

As it is a new service, I'm sure all of the best features will come along as it gets more popular.
