Hey y'all,

I have a business PayPal account and that is the way I get paid.

I now have a client based in India (as long as I can figure out a way to get paid upfront!). Does PayPal work with India based companies so that I can get paid here in the USA? And if so, does anyone know the exchange rate for India to US $? (So I can price accordingly?)

I did do a search and found this information from PayPal, but I am still confused.

Anyone with this experience?

Got the answer from my client (I was hesitant to ask ). Yup, she has a business Paypal account, so all should be good.

Sorry I wasn't able to jump in on this question sooner but glad to see you have your answer.

I was just going to say that PayPal is an option for anyone in nearly any country (there are a few exceptions) as long as they have a bank account or credit card they can use to fund a PayPal account.

I believe PayPal has a feature that will calculate exchange rate for you as well when requesting payment from other countries.

Well better late than never, Tess! I wondered about the exchange rate. I know now that the fees for other countries are higher, but that is fine by me.

Now all I have to do is put a quote together for her for copy writing, get my contract together for the project and we're off and running!
