Default What NOT to do in a marketing email

I get marketing e-mails all the time. I'm talking something different than the really crappy spam junk that annoys the *&%% out of me. These are the e-mails from someone or a company that even though I'm not interested (I hate unsolicited emails) at least it's something that pertains to me. Because I get random inquiries, etc., I usually scan most e-mails before I delete them unless I KNOW it's garbage.

So, today I get one for a VA Industry company. So, here's my what NOT to do: Don't send out an e-mail asking someone to look at your service and NOT provide a link for them to go to your website. How are you going to get them to sign up for your service if they can't even get there!?! (Yes, Tammi, I know I'm not supposed to put multiple punctuation in a sentence it fits. )

OK, done complaining -- actually I'm not but that's enough for this post.

It does make you wonder, doesn't it? It's amazing how people overlook the obvious. It's as bad as someone offering proofredding services....get it?

I've seen some like that before myself... I click around the screen thinking something should portal me there, but to no avail. I guess I had always chalked it up to the fact that my email server, or firewall, or my virus software had washed out the link. At which point I was glad that they had at least "written" the website address in the email. Something that I've seen missing on an "ad" before.

I have recieved similiar emails as well. What gets me the most is when someone completes your contact form with the incorrect info!
