what is a good, free or cheap autoresponder?
Does anyone know of a good free or low-cost autosubscriber service? I just want to be able to send a free report to anyone who signs up on my website. Thanks!!

Re: what is a good, free or cheap autoresponder?
Hi Angie,
check out Zebra Tracks by Mailworkz. They actually have a free for life program where you can send to 300 contacts per month for free. If you go over the 300 the next level I believe is 1000 for something like $5.00. Very, very reasonable. I have recommended this to clients and colleagues.

Re: what is a good, free or cheap autoresponder?
Thank you, Caroline. This is great information. My Constant Contact trial expired and I only have about 26 subscribers so it didn't warrant paying the $15 a month until I had more subscribers. Great question, great answer! Thanks!
Janine

You are so welcome Janine.
I actually moved a client away from Constant Contact over to Zebra Tracks as she had at that time a list of 250 and building. She is now at just below the 1000 mark and loves that she isn't paying a small fortune.

Take a look at MailChimp. They have a free plan as well. They are part of SurveyMonkey, which is a REALLY great online survey tool.

Re: what is a good, free or cheap autoresponder?
You can try mynewsletterbuilder.com
I use it for newsletters.
It has auto responders, the option to have scheduled newsletters and surveys.
It's $10/month if you go month-by-month but if you prepay for a year, you get 20% off, so it's only $8 per month (for up to 500 recipients). It's a pretty good deal.
I've used it for two newsletters and really like it.

Re: what is a good, free or cheap autoresponder?
Just wanted to pipe back in on this thread, as my initial reply was a few months ago when I had recommended Mail Chimp. I hadn't done much with it at that point and since then I have created a few newsletters and autoresponders. It is a really great site and there is a free account for up to 100 contacts and you get 600 or so "credits". What's nice about Mail Chimp is you don't have to do a paid subscription on a monthly basis, you can do a "pay as you need" type of structure and I think it amounts to 3 cents an email or something like that.
The emails/newsletters I've created there look really nice and they have a lot of templates to choose from.
I feel for me, their site is laid out well and easy to understand. They also have a lot of online resources that can help the beginner with the whole concept of email marketing.
