Default What do you use for newsletters?
I know you can use a word option or the email template option. I was wondering what you find better to use to create and send e-newslettters. Thanks!

I use Publisher but now that I have Corel Draw, I'm going to try my next one in that.

We write our newsletters (design/coding) from scratch and use the 'custom template feature' in Vertical Response.

I do several enewsletters. For a few I use a constant contact template and make it fit what my client wants it to look like,

For my own quarterly newsletter, I created a custom template using Dreamweaver, and just copied the code into my Constant contact account.

Thanks for all your responses! I guess I'm trying to find a low/no cost way to get newsletters out for my non profit client.

Vertical Response is very inexpensive - doesn't muck up your email server with spam issues, and they also have some ready templates you can work wth a bit by adding logos, etc. if you don't know code.
There is no monthly fee and 1500 emails sent is about $20 - so all in all very cost effective.

I've used Constant Contact as well for clients who already had accounts there but didn't like it nearly as much and they charge a monthly fee plus credits to send.

I'm not sure if there's a totally free option out there - at least one without ad support, etc.

Monique, I use Aweber too. I don't use their templates, though. I use a template that a programmer (before I came on board) had put together but it is not easy to use and I have had requests from my client for a better looking newsletter template. It seems that the newsletter templates that I've seen and have asked other VAs about that my client likes are Dreamweaver written. I priced Dreamweaver and it just isn't in my budget. I used Publisher for another client but it wasn't a good one. Someone told me about stocktemplates.com or something like that but they were expensive to buy.
