Default Vertical Response
I've heard a lot of mention about Vertical Response around here. Can I get some questions answered, please. I'm starting some marketing efforts this week and want to have a few ducks in place before hand so I can move forward.

I've been looking at pricing and the price here seems reasonable. I want a subscription box for my website so I can capture e-mails if I get visitors. I currently have one but it's through my hosting company and it's not exactly what I'm looking for. It works though. I am not currently sending out a newsletter but eventually would (ideally) like to. At this point cost is an issue so I want to keep it low. Here are my questions:

1. With the free account will that let me have a sign-up form on my website and keep my contact information? (I fully understand I would pay for sending e-mails with the pay-as-you-go plan.)

2. Can I import the addresses I already have accumulated?

I know I have more questions, but that's all for now. Thanks!

Hi Lanel,

I use Vertical Response for my own website. I have a free account and am able to have the sign-up box on my site. I have multiple lists in my account and I am only charged for emails sent.

To answer your second question, yes you can upload the current contacts you have into Vertical Response to create a new list. The file just has to be in csv or text format.

Hope that helps!

I can only second what Darlene has said.
We recommend use of VR to all of our clients and use it ourselves when needed because it is so flexible and doesn't come with a monthly fee.
When you log into your account, scroll all the way down the main page to where your contacts lists will be - you'll see an option to create a web signup form - the subscription box you want.

You can also upload all of your contacts (and continue adding any others you wish to include) in that same section - either with an XL sheet, a .txt file or manually.

Hope that helps!
