Hey VA's

Does anyone know of a helpful website that can give me great ideas for producing newsletters? I know that Word offers some templates but I am
not seeing many I like to use. My client does not have desktop publshing to view any data I create there, so I mainly stick with templates that are compatible to Microsoft Word.....any ideas?

Please & Thanks
Capricia

Have you looked into purchasing a service such as Constant Contact? They have wonderful templates that you are able to customize. Look around this forum because there are a number of post on this subject.

I've always used Constant Contact but there are quite a few different ones available. If you do research on alternatives to Constant Contact you will find the ones that are less expensive or work differently, etc.

Good luck!

Mail Chimp had some great tutorials on getting started. From creating your list to doing the newsletter.

Capricia,
Are you looking for e-newsletter templates or templates for printed newsletters?

E-newsletter templates are simple html though some use CSS.
As far as printed newsletters, I've used the formatting options in Word (like columns and tables etc.) to make newsletters. If you have Publisher you could use that to format the newsletter then export as a pdf for your client to proof.

Hope this helps,
Barbara

I have also heard mailchimp is good. I just started using it, it is free until you get over 1,000 members.

I too used Publisher for years, which is great. I recently started using Mail Chimp and I have to agree, it is fabulous. And you just can't go wrong. You've got plenty of room to take advantage of the free subscription, and there is no way of getting lost or confused with the super-dee-dooper tutorials. Capricia, definitely check it out.

i use mostly MS Publisher for my marketing, but I think you said you didn't have that program. I'd try "googling" newsletter templates, and see what is available. Hope that helps!!
