Default Newsletterfiller.com??
Has anyone used this site: http://www.newsletterfillers.com/ ? It looks really good for its collection of articles to use. One of my biggest concerns about starting a monthly e-newsletter is what to write about, and this seems to solve that problem. Any comments? Thanks!

One of the problems with using someone else's copy is that you are not showcasing what you know about your business. How will your potential clients find out anything about you and your knowledge if you don't write your own newsletter? Just a thought.

I just overhauled my newsletter, instead of writing individual articles I link to the previous month's blog posts as well as add a few other bits...

This is the first "new" one I did a couple of weeks ago http://mim.io/0ab56

Sharon,

It is easier to 'fill' a newsletter with information which will be useful to the audience with whom you wish to reach. Once you have determined who that market is, then the actual content becomes easier to develop. If you try to write for everyone then the ideas for info become more difficult to decide upon.

Let's say your newsletter is geared toward your target market which will be real estate agents. Set your sign up box on your site and create a blurb that entices agents to sign up for your newsletter subscription. So you might say, 'Agents, sign up here for marketing tips to better serve your sellers and buyers'.

So then you promote your newsletter in social media being sure to connect with real estate professionals.

Once you have enough folks on your list to send out a newsletter, then your articles will be geared toward that audience. Suggestions might be, "How to Take Great Listing Photos' or 'Using email affectively to reach the buyer who has not chosen a real estate agent'.

Other features in your newsletter might be One featured article, one guest article from a real estate professional or an interview, an inspiring quote, a free download and so on.

I would not purchase any 'filler' because you want to show potential clients that you are an expert in your field and that you can provide solutions.

If you have a wide audience (like me, I have surveyors, real estate, solicitors, market research etc.) you could target your newsletter to one at a time. E.g. first month surveyors, second month real estate, third month solicitors etc.

I like your thoughts (Bridie's)...I to have different markets....

Question for you - are you getting their attention though by doing it that way? Is there too much time in between?

Well, I do my newsletter monthly and it includes usually four blogs posts from my site, then I'll have some other info. Last month was the first time I've tried this, and I inserted a small article about something relevant to lettings agents. For February I'll try and write something relevant for surveyors etc.

This was last month's newsletter.

Will let you know after a few months if it's had any impact!

You could also ask other people to contribute: I ask people to write guest blogs which then feature in my newsletter - they get a brief bio and backlink on my site in return, and sometimes we exchange blogs (so I'll write for their blog with a bio and backlink).

I'm not sure what you focus on, but say you do typing and word processing, you could approach a VA that specialises in bookkeeping to write for your audience.

Great newsletter!

And asking people to contribute is a great idea....will try that.

Good luck with it and please let us know how you make out.
