I have a client who wants to use mail chimp and integrate it with Highrise as their CRM. I am familiar with both programs but am not sure how they integrate. Is it possible to sync contacts between the two? I have not found any clear info on this online, so any help would really be appreciated.

I use both and yes you can integrate them but from what I've heard there are issues with duplicate contacts being imported into highrise. I'm currently testing that theory and will keep you posted.

I've heard the issue comes from dropping someone into mail chimp manually and then when you sync them up, if they are already in highrise it duplicates them. I dont know why anyone would put a contact in mailchimp manually once you have it integrated with a CRM but it happens I guess.

Hi Danielle,
Thanks so much for your reply. I believe Highrise has a way to scan and eliminate duplicate contacts which would be helpful in this situation. I really look forward to learning more on how to integrate these two applications, and hope to hear more soon.
Thanks again.

I just got on Mail Chimp after reading this and it was SO EASY!!! I had actually entered all of my potential emails into an Excel doc. The Mail Chimp imported the whole thing and just sent me through the process. THANK YOU!!! Perfect timing, AWESOME app. LOVE IT.

I have used Mailchimp for the last 2 years. Yes, sometimes you have to fiddle with it some but overall is very easy to use. Also have been looking at Mailermailer. Anyone tried this?

I recently started my first Blog and am thinking of using Mailchimp to send updates to my email subscribers. Does anyone else use Mailchimp for this purpose? Any suggestions or recommendations?

I've heard that affiliate marketing is against MailChimp's terms of service. So if you are involved in any affiliate marketing activities or you think you might become interested in the future, you might want to reconsider or check with MailChimp to find out for sure. I've read that MailChimp has deactivated accounts that send out affiliate marketing promotional emails, causing people to lose their entire email contact list.

Thanks for the info Lisa. I'm not yet involved in affiliate marketing. I just need to send blog posts to email subscribers. But if I become involved in affiliate marketing in the future I'll definitely look into this further.
Thanks again.

How does mailchimp compare to say Constant Contact? I used it at an old job and it was okay but I was wondering if maybe Mailchimp was something that was a little more user friendly.
