I have need for the following and have reviewed the capabilities of every free and fee based system I can find .. and .. have even considered Outlook.

Here is my situation:

I have a client who will be running a couple of online coaching programs starting very soon. In each workshop, the participant will receive up to 15 scheduled emails with information and activities for that particular workshop.

The problem is that there does not seem to be a service out there that will allow us to setup and schedule 15 active autoresponders.

This is in addition to the other autoresponder needs my client has for newsletters etc.

We considering setting up a schedule for regular (nonautoresponder) emails each time someone enrolls in a program but as each person can enroll at anytime and there are no limits to the # of participants this way could easily lead to disaster.

Does anyone know of something that may meet our needs? My client already uses Constant Contact.

Check out AWeber and 1ShoppingCart they both have unlimited autoresponders and multiple lists available.

I'm virtually new to this (pun intended!) but....

If your client's website is a Joomla! site, there's an add on called acaJoom that's an awesome auto responder. There are three levels to select from, the first being completely free!

Constant Contact has an auto responder too but I'm not familiar enough with that to comment. I'm waiting for clarification from CC about their auto responder vs the acaJoom: you want a new subscriber to always get the first message then the subsequent messages to be delivered at a pre-determined date, etc.

My concern with aWeber is that you can't customize the "from" field as you can with Constant Contact; as long as the "from" email address is verified, you can send from any email address using Constant Contact thereby making it look like your client sent the email while you're still in control of the dashboard.

There is a way in outlook to do this. My question to you is, can you train your client on using Outlook rules and alerts OR will they be emailing you, via an email created just for these courses?

I haven't put this up on the document library yet, because I am not finished writing it, but I will be finishing a "How to" for auto responding through Outlook.

Not sure if you're looking for free or not, but Mail Chimp is a great app. For their free acct you can have up to 100 subscribers and you can send 6 times a month - BUT, I have definitely been sending more frequently so I think they must be lax on that.

You can do "pay as you go" so you're not locked into anything and I think it ends up being about 3 cents an email or something like that.

I've been very pleased with it so far.
