Does anyone use guest writers for their blogs or newsletters? If so, what's good & bad about it? I'm assuming, of course, that the article was previewed before adding it to your blog/newsletter.
I find myself low on information for our newsletter and extremely low on time to hunt some down, so I was thinking of going this route.
Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but there are "filler" sites out there: www.newsletterfillers.com is one that I know of. There are other sites which just list free articles that only require you to identify the author.

I thought about this and I was also looking for people to write an article for my newsletter every month, sort of like having their own column in a newspaper only geared towards one of the topics of my newsletter.
It seems like everyone is looking for content these days, and I am sure you can find someone local to function as an intern. Then you only have to copyedit what they write (and, of course, let them use you as a referral).
