I downloaded it and have been playing with it all morning. It's great in theory but I can't get it to work yet. It doesn't seem to want to import my address list, either in CSV or tab delimited.
The other point I wanted to make, is that if you want to insert any images into your email, you first have to upload them to a server somewhere. You could do this on your own site, but it's another step.
I've had pretty good luck with either iContact or with GoDaddy's Express Email Marketing. GoDaddy seems a little bit more affordable.

I did finally get the file to load.....I had spaces in the file name and once I put underscores in instead, it loaded fine.

I spent a little time trying to figure out how to upload the html file I had already created for my newsletter, but couldn't. Granted, I didn't spend a whole lot of time on it. It would be great for simpler style newsletters, but my first impression was that it didn't have the flexibility that I wanted.

The other thing worth mentioning with this program is that since it sends emails out through your own email provider, you're probably limited in how many you can send, depending on who your email provider is. Most providers put a limit on the number of emails you can send in a day, so if you're sending out emails for several clients, or one client who has a large database, you might run into problems. Using a service like iContact or GoDaddy would not limit you in this way. GoDaddy is only $7 per month for 500 emails per month. I sign my clients up for this service directly. It's not a big expense and their service allows a lot of freedoms.

I have been using it for a few months and it works fine, the only down side is that the free version doesn't give you all the reports needed to track your marketing efforts. But for newsletters and coupons to current clients, it's great. I've been using simplycast.com for my email marketing campaigns. The free version allows you to send up to 300 emails a month and for about $5 you can send 1000. It gives great reports, I can tell how many were actually opened, how many unsubscribed, # bounced, etc. And for 35% of your cost you can have the simply cast logo removed. That means if you buy the $5 package for another $1 you can have the simply cast link at the bottom removed.
