Default Flex your muscles. Mailchimp vs. Aweber - Monday Morning VA Blog
It seems that 2010 is the year where “content is king” for more businesses than I can shake a stick at. More clients are asking for newsletters to be set up and we’ve had our own reasons to have start looking at different services that offer autoresponders.

Currently, I use and recommend Mailchimp to everyone I see. I love the service. Their graphics knock me out. Their price for businesses building their list is the free-est I’ve ever seen. But. Their autoresponder leaves something to be desired and I need that autoresponder to sweet-talk the pants off a rockstar.

Last week I did a run down on Mailchimp vs. Aweber for a client and came to a dismal conclusion. I’m going to have to give up my illustrious Mailchimp for Aweber.

Here’s why...Click here to read the rest of this post at the Monday Morning VA Blog.

You are very welcome, Cassandra! The blog post came about after a client needed to make a decision between the two services.

This is an excellent post! Nice job! I didn't know this about MailChimp.

FYI, even though Aweber doesn't have a free trial such as MailChimp, they do offer a 30-day MBG, which is at least 'something' to try out the program. Mail Chimp has a birthday reminder service whereas Aweber (and Constant Contact) do not. I also believe that surveys can be integrated between Mailchimp using SurveyGizmo whereas with Aweber, only a link to an outside survey can be provided, such as SurveyMonkey.

I'm an Aweber-fan myself but no one particular program seems to have it all. (That would be nice.)

I am working in MadMimi, a new autoresponder for me and will post a review on my blog. I'll have to ask MadMimi about the charge for the same subscriber on different lists. That's an excellent point.

Janine

You know so much has changed since I worked last. I do not even have a newsletter set up. I would not even know what to include or what to write about. Even though I have been an Administrative Assistant in the past and was beginning in the VA industry I did not get into the VA part long enough to get into sending out newsletters. I feel like I'm NEW to this whole thing.
