Default E-Mail Campaign
Hello!

My Website has finally been submitted to the search engines. I would like to do an e-mail campaign but have never done one before. How does one go about doing this? What do you put in a e-mail campaign/

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Beth

Well, Beth, if you have a list of contacts, and you just launched your website, it makes sense to send an emailed newsletter to tell your contacts about it and invite them to visit it. You might also include a helpful tip of some kind, that your readers could use .... and a short'n'sweet plug for your VA services.
My advice: keep it brief and electric!

I have had much success with email campaigns. I usually search different networking sites in my target market and send a brief email about my services. My response has been an average of 5 inquiries for approximately 100 emails. 2 became clients. So far no negative responses to the emails.

I've spent the past month building my newsletter, now what? I have a list of people I'd like to send it to but the frustrating part is how the devil do I send it so that everyone can open it even if they don't have Publisher? I was able to save it as a Firefox document.

Will ya'll look at it? Let me know if you want me to email it.

Thanks!

You could sent through MailChimp which has a free account option that will let you send to 100 people. You can create your newsletter there. I am not sure about using an already designed one from Publisher but this is another option.

Now I don't know if this helps, but also look at Constant Contact, Vertical Response . There are typically free accounts associated with these services, but check it out. Hope it helps!

I use Constant Contact. It is very user friendly. And you have a 60 day free period, which, if you are organized, you can get three newsletters sent to up to 100 addresses.

I know it's been a while since this was discussed, but I have since had my website revamped (yay!) and Kristan put a PHP List on it so now I can send my newsletter to my entire list (859 people) as a PDF. There is a free downloadable 'save as' PDF at (www.cutepdf.com/).
I produce my newsletter in Publisher (that's where I found the template I liked), save it as a PDF, upload it to PHP and then send...

You can also purchase lists that target your area of expertise. If you google "email list vendor", you should have several options pop up. Another idea that I've used recently for marketing is to harvest the email addresses from your local chamber (if you belong to the chamber they will send it to you). Frequently the contact person is the office manager.
