Default When should I contact?
Approximately 2 weeks, I got a potential client off of Twitter. He DM me to call him. I did. We discussed what he needed (Data Entry), my price, and time frame. He is going to be a per project client. 3 days later, I DM him as a reminder that I was there when he needed me. He DM me back saying he had to get the info remailed to him. He would forward it to me then. I still have not received the info. When should I contact him again? I don't want to seem pushy but, I want to stay on top of it. I don't want to risk losing a potential client.

Thanks,

So you haven't had any contact in approx. a week? I would send him a friendly email now just stating you are following up again if he has received the information yet. Let him know also that you are working on your schedules for the week and that is a reason you are inquiring again.

I agree with Dawn, it's time for a follow up. Good luck.

Definitely follow up and offer him a few reasons why he should make a set appt. to talk to you. Highlight the benefits, etc. Good luck!

Sometimes I will also add an action-item to a follow-up email such as "May I have your permission to add your name and address to my e-newsletter list?" This can get the potential client to answer you rather quickly and even if it doesn't turn out to be a client for now, despite having the contact, it puts you in their foreground when your newsletter does pan out. Sometimes this works and sometimes it does not. But I feel, 'why not?' because they may not sign with me anyway so what do I have to lose?

Clearly, for me, one of the most frustrating portions of being a VA, and I wrote about this in my blog is doing the marketing and the consulting only to find they don't want to sign up or they want to wait a few months. It's the nature of the beast.

If this does turn out to be a 'dud' for now, simply move on to the next. You must be doing something right if this one contacted you through Twitter.

Good Luck!
Janine
