Thanks for the comment, Diana! That's the incessant beauty of this site - everyone brings all of their own unique personalities and ideas; and each one of us walks away with our very own interpretation of things! You do it this way - that's good. I'll do it this way - and that's good!
BTW everyone: I stumbled upon something today, and being the environmentalist that I am, became a "certified green office"! I'm sure many others already know about this, but for those that don't, you can check it out at: http://www.greenlinepaper.com. I think the certification and idea behind it makes a strong statement, as a business. I've been working for 12 hours now; I have GOT to get off here. 'G-nite all!

This is a seriously helpful thread for me! I've been thinking about putting something together. I always send out an NDA, an introduction survey, a payment policies form, and a SOW (if it's a project).

I think I'm going to get some promo items too, since I'll be headed to some conferences this year. I work with mainly bloggers...so I think branded USB drives, laptop stickers, etc would be good.

My clients really appreciate the welcome kit. I think it facilitates a more tangible connection. I often get comments on how organized I am and that they knew it from the start when they received the welcome kit. It is a great primer to any VA to client relationship

I send out: introduction letter, policy, brochure and business cards. Love the idea of promo gift, I will look into that.

I think I am going to add a promo gift to my welcome kit, as well.

I am a newbie and I agree with everyone else this all is some great information and really appreciate everyone sharing. I am going to start working on my Welcome Kit ASAP along with a list of other things I need to do. But I really think that by sending the Welcome Kit it shows your appreciation and gives the client the feel that you are truly a professional.

This is an awesome thread and it's over a year old! I'm a brand new VA (although I've been working on getting the business started for about a year). The thought of a new client kit, brochure or even a letter seems a little large to me. I can't think of much more than "HI", my name, website, phone number to put on anything? Not sure I could fill a page! Can you all provide specifics about what info you've included in your brochures, letters, etc.?
