Default What's in your welcome kit?
This kind of crosses boards into marketing but the girls will forgive me.

I know when I first started my business and I signed on a new client, I wanted to give them all the information they needed so we could begin the relationship on a good note. I soon heard about Welcome Kits/Packs and what other VAs would put in them.

So my question for you is what do you put in your welcome kit? Do you think a welcome kit aids in your customer relations?

(I already have one BTW )

This is what I have in my Welcome Package.

- Welcome letter, including "office procedures, hours, etc"
- Contract & Confidentially agreement
- Brochure
- Local Magazine articles that I have written
- Testimonials and a request for testimonials should they be happy with my services. I use these in my newsletter with a link back to their website.
- Client Questionnaire

I think we had this same topic a while back, but I'm too lazy to go look for the thread.

Anyway, here's my short and sweet list:

Welcome Letter
Copy of the signed contract
W-9 Form w/ my company info on it
Business Cards
Brochure

I have been wanting to have some promo items printed up to send with them, like a calendar or pens, or something. I'm thinking about a custom calendar, which has the holiday's blocked off that I will be closed or even tax and payroll deadlines printed on it, but I want it to be a nice calendar with scenic pictures or something on it. I'm still working on it.

That is all I include in the welcome packet. I have a list of other questionnaires and things that I email to them depending on the project. I have some that are bookkeeping specific.

I have also been stocking up on nice blank cards (Office Depot's sale rack) to send for thank you notes.

For small project clients I do just email the welcome kit, but for larger clients I like to mail them hard copies so I can also get some business cards in their hands.

Your right Rebecka we did have this conversation awhile back because I remember you suggesting the W9 that I thought was a great idea. And thanks for reminding me again because I still haven't added it Other then that I have basically the same as everyone else has mentioned.

Tamika if you still wanted to send it to your client you can. There's no time limits.

Personally I feel that even if you just send them a one page letter, you are setting the scene for excellent client relations, especially if you outline your boundaries, policies etc within.

Re: What's in your welcome kit?
For those of you who mail a hard copy what do you send it in? Does it arrive in some sort of a container they can keep or all just in an envelope?

Make it a great day!?
