Question What to include in a welcome letter
Hello Everyone,

I already have two clients and when they signed the contract to work with me, I never sent them a welcome letter. These two clients are former employers of mine and I just didn't feel I had to send them a welcome letter. I want to have one ready so when I get other clients, I'm able to send it to them.

Please advised on what I should include in the letter.

Thanks,

Karla

You could have a brief description of what you do, talk about the economic trends and how much an actual employee costs. Thank them for the opportunity... tell them a little about how you work, in general terms. Some people haven't heard of a VA so you could do a little description about that as well.

That's a really good question. I'm sure something short and sweet would be good if you have already signed a contract with them.

The is great information, I'm a newbie, and wasn't sure what to include in a welcome letter or welcome packet, if I do a welcome packet.

Al though they are past employers, I think, it is always very professional to send either a thank you or welcome letter. This way they know that you appreciate doing business with them.

I'm interested in trying this. I have been going back and forth with one of my clients regarding the assigning of tasks, email dosen't work effectively and other programs are costly he doesn't want to pay for it and I'm working at a reduced rate so I'm not paying for it.

Thanks for the tip.

Anella,
For task assignments I use Dropbox. It's a free program that will allow your clients to transfer files to you quickly and easily. Another program you may be interested in is Skype. I use this for communicating with my clients.
