#8- The First Client
It sure seems like we’ve addressed a lot before getting to this point, doesn’t it? While the preceding 7 posts have addressed issues that might not be considered directly client related, I believe that not addressing them before signing your first client is one element that can cause the business to fail. Like anything, success needs a solid foundation of preparation. And once the foundation is in place, then its time to add clients to the mix.
This is another thing I find myself addressing with new virtual assistants once they’ve landed their first client. They have a client but aren’t quite sure how to proceed.
It’s important to put procedures in place so that you have a system of how to proceed with clients regardless of how busy you may be.
