Default Typical questions your clients ask
I am new and wondering what do clients typically ask you during your consultation? What are the most common questions/concerns they have. I just want to be prepared when I finally have that first consultation!
Thanks!

Hi Devon - I don't think there's any standard here. Everything depends on the client's industry, knowledge of virtual assistance, how well they know what they want, the chemistry between you, etc. Virtual assistance is too new for there to be much similarity in these consultations. All you can do is listen keenly and be ready to suggest solutions.

I believe if you begin with basic information you definitely want your client to know, then you put it in question and answer form...just go from there and that would give you an easier start. Practice these items over and over and when your potential client begins to ask other questions...it will make it a lot easier for you to flow into answering them.

I think that all my clients basically ask different questions depending on what they need. They want to know how you can help them and how you are better then someone else...Just know what you are about and know how you can help others that are in your market!

One question often asked is availability - the need to be assured that you're there for them. I return phone calls and emails within 3 hours right now. Although I'm working full time I'm starting to work it some remotely so on days I have to be at the job office I pop out to my car and return calls by cellphone. Three hours is a good timeline for me, though I usually answer emails within the hour. Kinda juggling things at the moment

I've found that most new clients who've never used a VA before wonder exactly what we can do for them. They know they need help but aren't sure themselves exactly how best to use our services. So I'd be prepared with specific tasks you can help them with. I've found it very helpful to ask them what things they most dislike doing and then offer suggestions on how I can help with those specific tasks.

Many wonder how the process works, how often you'll stay in touch, how do they go about paying you, what your pricing structure is, etc. So be prepared with all the basics. Let us know how things go for you.
