Well I think it depends on the circumstances - if I met a potential client in a yoga class it would be a very different conversation than if I met a potential client at a networking event.
I think it's good to find out what a PCs pain points are, in relation to their business management and growth - I'd steer the conversation in a way that would help me understand where they're struggling and/or looking for a new way to do things.
