What kind of a request for proposal is it? Is it a formal request or an RFP you found on a VA site? You first need to determine if you're expected to provide a formal proposal or not.

Whichever type of proposal it is, you'll want to make sure you address any specific requests the client makes in their request (a portfolio, writing samples, etc.)

There's another thread on the boards that you might find helpful as well.

I's with my current employeer. I have been working with them as their admin. for almost two years. I told them on Thurday that my husband is losing his job in 30 days and we are moving back to Colorado to stay with our family. She doesn't want to lose me but understands, I told her that she doesn't have to and told her about my VA business. She want me to write up a proposal to give to her and her boss and make sure I include the fact that we already work vuritaly anyway(she's up stairs and I'm down stairs). I know I need to includ my service, what I do for them know and how I can do it virtualy, and all the other basice stuff, but I don't know how to form it or start it. Any help would be great.

If you already have a relationship with them then I would suggest sending something in a letter format. Include an action plan that outlines the steps to making your role entirely virtual. You might want to include a section that addresses areas you think they might see as being problematic and how you would address them. Finally end with a budget. Good luck!

I'd also add details about you experience working with the company and your existing knowledge of policies and procedures specific to the company.

I am wondering how this came out...

I know sometimes it goes by budget and whether or not 'contractual' or someother heading is included in the budget - let alone the $$

ALSO - alternative - could you remain in present position and change it so that it is remote?
