Default My first enquiery - Please help!!
Hello all, I have just received my first online enquiry and i am really too excited to think straight so was hoping for some friendly advice!

The enquiry is for 15-20 emails/calls per week + 5-10 Invoices per month. What sort of questions should I be asking this potential client? Ive not yet worked out how I will cost taking calls on behalf of a client so any advice regarding this point would be greatly appreciated.

My natural instinct is to try and get this client onto a retainer for 5hours per month, what is your opinion on this?

Thank you in advance
Kelly

Kelly: For the making calls/emails, I would stick to your hourly rate.

For invoicing, I would ask how you will be receiving information (name, amount, etc... for the invoice), what the expected turnaround time is, and whether they have an established format or boilerplate. Also, they may want you to use an existing system like FreshBooks, so you'll want to find out about that, too.

Good luck!
Deb

Thank you Deb, I have just sent out my response so will let you know how I get on, I am so excited, my website has only been live for three weeks, I really didn't think I would get any responses for at least three months so I am totally thrilled!! :-)

I agree with Deb. You should probably bill at an hourly rate while rounding services to the 1/4 hour.
