Default Info Kit
Ive been reading a lot on here about Welcome Kits for when we sign up a client. Has anyone used Information Kits to get the word out about their services? For example: services info sheet/rate sheet, business cards, etc? Of course, we cant send these out to everyone...but to a selected few companies? Let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Sandy

I don't do mailings but I have info packets that I take to certain networking events to hand out. Especially if I'm speaking I like to have hand outs.

Hi Sandy,

I'm a newbie here and have been reading through all the posts (wonderful resource I might add!) and there is a thread on info. kits. There are many good ideas shared.

I was thinking of mailing government agencies in the area. I do transcribing for my job (a government agency), and I know that others are having a time with their meetings and finding someone to do their transcriptions.

I like the info packet for events tho...I can use the packets for events that I attend!

Thanks much!

Sandy

It's too funny that I'm reading this now. I just finished a "flyer" that I intend to bring with me to a women's group weekend next weekend. I'm just getting my business up and running and I don't even have "real" business cards yet or a business phone number. I went on-line and ordered "free" business cards with a logo I liked (but my real logo is currently being designed) and worked up this flyer as a networking tool. I plan to give it out next weekend and also use it as a mailing to introduce my business to all my friends and family on my Christmas card list. I have my cell phone number on the card now which I will have as part of my business numbers anyway. I typed my company name on the top, a blurb on Who is Office Ally? and a blurb on What is a Virtual Assistant? and Services offered, and Why use Office Ally? I did put a clip art pic on it that is simple and plain like an outline of a woman at a computer. I have a friend who is a graphic designer who was going to make it look "very professional" for me so I can have it printed. That's just what I did; otherwise, I do not know about an "info kit." Interested in what others have to say, though. Good luck.

Whether you put pricing on your printed material is a personal choice, but if you do I would recommend putting a footnote stating "prices are subject to change". You don't want someone bringing in a flyer or brochure a year later saying "I thought it was only this much" after you've raised your prices.

I take an abbreviated info pack to my networking events. This way they can look at my services and offerings when time permits or they have it handy to pass on should the need arise.

I know that I'm responding to this a little late, but I have put packets like this together and I hand them out to key prospects. I also, plan to use them in some of my up coming (still planning them) speaking engagements.
