Question Email intro for new clients
Hi Divas

So I have a potential client lined up, and I was wondering about sending an intro email...that looks all snazzy and gives a nice intro to the company and a few details and some thanks for choosing us, etc.

Do you guys think this is a good idea? Does anyone use this method for your new clients? And, if so, is there a template or something somewhere I can go and create such a thing?? I have what I'd like to say in a Word file...but its word you know....and doesn't have the nice graphics, etc.

Any ideas?? Please help,
Amaya

Hi Amaya, you can actually add graphics to a word doc though, and print to PDF or something similar if you wanted to send it as an attachment....

I don't do anything like this to welcome new clients, just straight friendly emails and a handwritten thank you note after a certain period of time....but I think yours is a great idea!

Amaya -
How about an in-between choice: an email that's a friendly note, with one or at the most two flashy items or direct self-promos. If you're dealing with a warm lead, you don't want to come off too pushy; i.e., you don't need to 'advertise' as much as 'inform.'

Thank you you guys. You're both right...I should keep things on the subtle side.

Thanks,
Amaya

I had thought about beefing up my emails as well. But it occured to me that some people receive only text emails and all the specialized formatting is left behind. I agree with Tess that a hand-written note is great because it's more personal. However, email communication is quite apporpriate these days as well. IIn addition, I try and be sure that I balance it out with phone time as well.
