Default Do you send out new client welcome packets?
Hi. I am about to launch my business and wanted to know if any of you have sent out new client welcome packets. If so, what did you include in your packet?

I think the new client welcome packet is a great idea for your client to have when it comes to locating your information, contract and other pertinent information. You could add a promotional item, the signed contract terms, your business card and greeting letter and maybe a couple of business cards in case they want to "refer a friend" and if they do -- you can offer a small discount.

That's a great idea LaGraves. I also like the "refer a friend" idea, LArmstrong. Small promo items are great like pens.

Definitely -- there was a whole list of things to include in previous threads. Perhaps if you do search under packet or welcome packet.

I had copied this and a wealth of other information -- unfortunately night before I set out from home state I was attempting to assist authorities so they used my computer and I could not get it to come up again -- lost all my files (hopefully will be able to get them back)

I think its a great idea, it helps build a relationship and market your business at the same time. Did you end up sending them???

Yes, I do send out "New Client Welcome Packages" (sometimes with a small gift). I think is great for the customer to have information of your business (along with the contract), business card, etc.
I treat my business as any other on-site business.
Sometimes I send them a magnet calendar or pen (monogrammed with my business info). Great advertising and your clients feel you care. Hope this helped!

I don't but I don't think it's necessary with the services I offer.

I certainly offer a referral discount though. Although I find clients are more than happy to refer without it I like to say "thanks".

A welcome packet is a great idea. I also like the items mentioned to include in the packet. Whatever you send make sure your "brand" is on everything.

Yes and no, depending on the circumstances. One of my clients is an author, elderly and a little frail. I work with him a couple of times a month at his home, assisting with the work in progress and doing some computer training to help him along. I gave him a full package on our first "date".

A new client this week had me reformat and pretty up a 77 page document from h*ll. On receiving the finalized document she responded "you really are a wizard lol. I will send her a brochure and a magnetized business card.

I love the idea of a welcome package, I'm currently in the process of making mine and have gotten my greating letter and agreements done. Only wondering how you might include a business card if being sent virtually. Any ideas?
