Question Creating a Welcome Letter for New Client.
Hey ya'll!

I just got a new client and I have been working hard on the Welcome Packet to give her on Monday or Tuesday. Maybe my brain is fried from all of this hard work...lol...but I cannot think of a way to start my "Welcome Letter". Do any of you know where I can look at examples on here? I do not have my 50 posts yet to be able to peruse the library. Also, how do you all make your brochures? AND What do you all put on your "pre-consultation questionaires". I did not need the questionaire for the client I got so I am unsure what information I should ask for and don't want to leave anything pertinent out. Let me know what ya'll think.

Thanks so much. Sorry to keep buggin'. haha.

I can help with the brochures if nothing else! I run a Mac so I used a template from Pages, the layout/word processor that came with it. I focused on my services and defining what a VA is and does. Then I ran it by a graphic design friend who tore the design to shreds. The bones of the template were good but the design features were quite fussy so we tore those out.

She told me that I should pick 3 fonts for every project: a headline font, a sans serif font for most of the text, and a serif font for the small stuff. It made the brochure look really good, and makes a nice balance between Explosion In A Font Factory and Boring Times New Roman.

My brochures are going to the printer today. Now it's time for me to put together the rest of the welcome packet.

Hi Lacie - You posted initially 3 weeks ago? Wow...well, any advice would be moot at this point...huh. I hope it went well. I just came back to the forums after being gone for along time, so I'm sorry I didn't see this prior. I hope you're not feeling invisible.

Jenn,

Thanks for the advice. I have come up with a templatey brochure. My brother does our graphic design for the company so he is already thinking of how he can fix it lol. I think it looks alright. I will definitely look into using the 3 different fonts. That is a great idea.

Pam,

Thank you for your words. I appreciate it. No, I haven't felt too invisible. Well, to tell you the truth I didn't get my welcome packet out as early as I wanted to because I just really did not know where to start with it. I finally got it out last week. :-/
