As usual, awesome thread. I have an entire page of notes! I'd like your input on how a small VA business working with small businesses (usually one person shows) should approach this Client Info Sheet idea. My thought is that I don't want to waste THEIR time filling this out a form when most of the basics I'd get by other means (e-mail signature, website, etc.) But I always intended to fill this form out myself as way of tracking my clients. In addition, it's also a checklist for to ask all the appropriate questions. Again, I'm not working with large companies or working on major projects.... YET!

Is there any additional value that I'm missing to having them fill out a form of some sort?

Would you also use this page as a way to track communication between the two parties? I just thought about when I was reading over the suggestions, by the way, were great suggestions.

I haven't created one so this will give me a great start.

I agree with Marcia I would fill out the form myself and keep it in the file. As I am talking to the customer in conversation and birthdays and children names come up I would pull out that form to add such information. My hair stylist does this and I think she use to study it before I came in LOL. Now we are close friends and she does not have to memorize the questionnaire anymore.

Once again theses threads continue to assure me that I am on the right track. I am soooo happy. For me this a huge endeavor about starting my VA business. I haven't gotten a great deal of support from family members. To read this information on the VAF lets me know that this is right and that this is my niche.

This is a great idea! My husband does this mentally. When he runs into someone he hasn't seen for 6 months or so, he always asks them about something they mentioned last time he saw them. They're always so amazed & impressed that he remembered! (Me too, cuz he sure doesn't remember that just yesterday I asked him to take the trash out!)

Great information ladies. I'm not at this point yet, but it's great to already have a list of items. I love this website. Now, if I can just finish this business plan.
